NOAA WEATHER RADIO KIG98 PORTLAND, OREGON

This NWR Stream is provided by our home weather station. A roof mounted antenna feeds a Weather Radio which then feeds audio into the soundcard in our WX Computer. The audio is then Streamed, via the internet, to WunderGround's Weather Radio project, and also to NWS / NOAA.

NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards (NWR) is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information directly from the nearest National Weather Service office. NWR broadcasts official Weather Service warnings, watches, forecasts and other hazard information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

KIG98 is located on Goat Mountain, Oregon, on a frequency of 162.55 MHz with a power output of 330 watts ,  and serves Portland and surrounding areas..

 

Please remember that You should NOT rely on this Internet audio to receive watches or warnings. Instead, you should have a dedicated NOAA Weather Radio receiver which will alert you 24 hours a day to hazards in your area.
